Rafting on Serbian part of the Lim river starts from the Kumanica Monastery, on the start of the Lim canyon, on the border between Serbia and Montenegro.
Kumanica Monastery was built in the 14th century. During the centuries monastery was ruined, but also restored for the few times. Nowadays Kumanica is famous and popular place for the believers and other travelers.
Lim river varies during different periods of the year. In the springtime, due the high water-level, Lim is wild river for the extreme rafting, but in the summertime rafting on Lim is easy-going because of the lower level of water.
Rafting on the Lim starts with the Kumanica rapid, that goes under the bridge. After a Kumanica bridge, Lim flows through beautiful canyon. Canyon is about 10 km long. There are few rapids, that also vary through different periods.
At the end of the canyon, in the short valley is located small town Brodarevo, in which we can finish rafting or continue through second canyon of Lim. This part of canyon runs us through few interesting rapids to popular local beaches - Lučice and Petrovac where we can also finish our rafting.
Sopotnica waterfalls are very attractive place, very close to the our rafting end point. There are also lot of nearby interesting places : Prijepolje town, Mileševa Monastery - 13th century Serb Orthodox monastery with most famous fresco in serbian culture - White Angel, special nature reserves Mileševka gorge and Uvac gorge and much more.
